CDL took double honours at the Global CSR Awards
2010 – Asia's most prestigious award, which recognises and honours
companies for outstanding, innovative and world class products, services and
programmes implemented in 2009/2010 as part of their broad corporate and CSR
strategy.
The CSR Leadership Award, an individual award, was accorded
to Mr Kwek Leng Joo, Managing Director of CDL, for his contribution to the
promotion of all aspects of CSR, including the environment, sustainability,
community partnerships, education and poverty alienation, amongst others. CDL
was also conferred the Best Environmental Excellence Award, for the successful
implementation of its innovative water recycling and silt water treatment. This
award recognises businesses for successfully integrating environmental
performance into its sustainable development strategy, and delivering proven
business benefits.

Corporate Knights, a partner of the Global Sustainability Research Alliance,
which contracted Innovest Strategic Value Advisors (a wholly owned subsidiary of
RiskMetrics Group) to identify the top 100 publicly-traded MSCI World-listed
companies relative to their industry peers, from an environmental, social and
governance (ESG) perspective.
