City Square Mall, Singapore's first eco-mall, has once again received the prestigious Excellence Award under the Shopping Mall Category in the Businesses for Families Council’s (BFC) 'We Welcome Families' Awards 2013. This win makes City Square Mall the first and only mall in Singapore to receive this accolade twice in a row. Launched in 2010, the award is the highest accolade of this national accreditation programme, honouring businesses which demonstrate exemplary standards of family-friendly business practices. Organised by the BFC and supported by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), this award aims to establish Singapore as a country committed to encouraging and equipping businesses to adopt strategies, implement infrastructure and provide services that benefit families.
