Since the 1990s, CDL has been setting the benchmark for Green Building in Singapore. To encourage and influence our contractors to raise their standards of environmental and safety performance, we established the CDL 5-Star EHS Assessment System in 2001 at all our worksites. Quarterly inspections and audits are conducted and contractors are graded on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.

Our rigorous CDL 5-Star Assessment System has resulted in improved environmental performance in 2008 at our work sites. Significant improvement of between 3% and 20% of water use, energy use and waste generated has been reduced at the work sites.
