In line with our commitment towards environmental sustainability, CDL has all core divisions and supporting operations conforming to ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS).

Based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle, the EMS forms an integral part of CDL’s overall management system and is certified against the international ISO 14001 standard. It is used as a structured and systematic approach to:

	identify and control the environmental impact of CDL’s activities, products or services
	continually improve CDL’s environmental performance
	implement a systematic approach to set and measure environmental objectives and targets

As early as 2003, CDL set a new industry benchmark as the first private property developer to receive the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System in Property Development and Project Management.

In April 2008, we were awarded ISO 14001 in Corporate Management and Operations for all functions at our headquarters. Constantly striving to improve our EHS management performance, 15 CDL buildings underwent an exercise to attain the OHSAS 18001 in Property Management certification, which was accorded in January 2011. These 15 buildings also received the re-certification of the ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Quality Management System which were first awarded in 2007.
