A tale of two East Coast icons, born a generation apart.

Amber Park (Now)

The natural beauty and rich heritage of the East Coast make homes in the district highly sought after.

One of the most notable transformations is Amber Park – a story three decades in the making.

Originally built by CDL in the 1980s, Amber Park featured two imposing towers with iconic teacup-shaped balconies, housing 200 units on a sprawling site spanning approximately two and a half football fields. It was a prestigious address and beloved local landmark.

Thirty years later, the owners at Amber Park decided to unlock the value of their estate through an en bloc sale to its original developer. Many had lived there since day one, and as empty nesters, they were now ready to downsize and rightsize.

CDL and Hong Realty acquired the site for S$906.7 million in 2017. The sale brought smiles to the owners, who received a handsome sum for their cherished homes, while CDL gained the opportunity to create a new icon on this expansive site.

Amber Park (The Stratosphere)

Collaborating with renowned architects SCDA, we reimagined the new Amber Park as three 21-story blocks with 592 units, connected by a sky jogging track 235 feet above sea level – aptly named the Stratosphere.

Remarkably, only 35% of the site is occupied by residential blocks, leaving ample space for lush landscaping and luxurious amenities, including a 50m lagoon pool, a forest trail, and private dining spaces at Club Amber.

Completed in 2023, the new Amber Park is now home to a larger community of discerning residents – including some original owners.

It goes to show that while times and needs change, the iconic homes CDL builds continue to transform skylines with forward-looking designs with long-lasting appeal.
